534. To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the contents of the value for money report carried out independently on behalf of the Irish Local Development Network which shows a net financial gain to the State arising from the activities of local development companies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has been in contact with the Irish Local Development Network (ILDN) and understands that the report referred to in the Question is still in draft format and has yet to be approved by its Executive Committee.  ILDN envisage that this process should be completed shortly and the report will then be submitted to my Department’s Alignment Working Group for consideration.
