The landing site at Our Lady of Mercy College, Beaumont, is approved for use by both Irish Air Corps and Irish Coast Guard Service helicopters. It is used in order to reduce transit times for aeromedical transfer patients, who previously had to be transferred by ambulance from Dublin Airport.

The National Aero-Medical Coordination Centre (NACC) manages the use of the site. The NACC dispatches both Irish Air Corps and Irish Coast Guard helicopters for emergency, as well as planned and routine, aeromedical transfers.

In relation to the particular information sought by the Deputy, as this is a service issue, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond directly to the Deputy in this matter.
