Appointments to State Boards

356. To ask the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the number of vacancies on State boards under the aegis of his Department; the number of board members that are currently out on sick leave; if he will provide a breakdown of the figures for the above two categories on a board by board basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As Members of Boards of the Agencies under my Department's remit are not, in their capacity as Board members, employees and do not have a contract of employment, they are not required to report their sick leave in that capacity.

ForfásForfas has no vacancies on the Forfas Board.
IDAIDA Ireland currently has one vacancy on its Board.
Enterprise IrelandEI currently has 1 vacancy.
National Standards Authority of IrelandA Chairperson and a Board member have been selected to be reappointed to the NSAI. NSAI have 3 remaining vacancies. One of which is a Departmental nominee.
Science Foundation IrelandAt present there are no vacancies on the SFI Board though three vacancies shall arise in late July 2013 and these are now advertised on the Public Appointments Service website at www.publicjobs.ie.
Shannon DevelopmentShannon Development has 1 Board vacancy.
Health and Safety AuthorityThe HSA has no vacancies at present.
Irish Auditing and Accountancy Supervisory AuthorityIAASA currently have no vacancies.
Personal Injuries Assessment BoardPIAB currently has no vacancies.
Competition  AuthorityThe Competition Authority has no vacancies.
Intertrade IrelandThere is 1 vacancy since 21st May 2013.
National Consumer AgencyThe NCA has 2 Vacancies since 1st May 2013.
