To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if there is a provision, or if one can be made under the dairy hygiene grant to allow for emergency works for milk cooling systems to be done retrospectively for small works such as compressors and milk bulk tanks due to the nature of the process and the time constraints on farmers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Only work which is commenced after the date of issue of approval by my Department is eligible for grant-aid under the TAMS Dairy Equipment Scheme. I have no plans at present to amend this provision, which is common to all my Department’s on-farm investment schemes.
