255. To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the role of the Integrated Ticketing Project Board; the progress the board has made to date on integrated ticketing; the further steps that will be taken by the board in the future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20986/13]

The Integrated Ticketing Leap Card system became a function of the National Transport Authority (NTA) with effect from 30th September 2010 in accordance with section 58 of the DTA Act 2008. In the light of this it was agreed between the NTA and the Project Board that the Board would stand down at the end of 2011.  The Integrated Ticketing Leap Card system became a function of the National Transport Authority (NTA) with effect from 30th September 2010 in accordance with section 58 of the DTA Act 2008.
