I am informed by the Garda authorities that Garda management is not aware of any new evidence along the lines referred to by the Deputy, and that the incident in question, which occurred in 1989, was the subject of a thorough investigation at the time and also gave rise to complaints to the Garda Síochána Complaints Board.
