To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality if he will provide in tabular form the number of civil/public servants under the remit of his Department who earn more than €500,000, between €400,000 - €500,000, €400,000 - €300,000, €300,000 - €250,000, €250,000 - €200,000, €200,000 - €150,000, €150,000 - €100,000, €100,000 - €80,000, €80,000 - €60,000, €60,000 - €40,000, €40,000 – €30,000 and less than €30,000. The information sought by the Deputy in respect of staff of my Department and agencies under its aegis is set out in the following table. The figures are based on annual gross salary and do not include allowances or overtime. The salary bands include staff employed on both a full-time and a work-sharing basis.

The figures above represent staff of my Department, agencies staffed by my Department and agencies that are responsible for their own recruitment such as the Legal Aid Board, Property Registration Authority, Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission, Irish Prison Service, Irish Human Rights Commission, Courts Service and the National Disability Authority. Information on the salary band breakdown for An Garda Síochána is not to hand and will be forwarded to the Deputy separately.
