To ask the Minister for Social Protection if he will provide in tabular form the number of civil/public servants under the remit of his Department who earn more than €500,000, between €400,000-€500,00, €300,000 - €250,000, €250,000 - €200,000, €200,000 - €150,000, €150,000 - €100,000, €100,000 - €80,000, €80,000 - €60,000, €60,000 - €40,000 and less than €30,000. The table below shows the number of staff in the Department within each of the salary ranges as at week ending 16 March 2013. Current details for the bodies under the aegis of the Department are also provided.

These figures include persons who are on reduced wages due to work sharing patterns. The statutory bodies operating under the aegis of the Department of Social Protection are the Citizens Information Board, the Pensions Board, the Office of the Pensions Ombudsman and the Social Welfare Tribunal. The Social Welfare Tribunal does not have any permanent staff assigned to it.
