To ask the Minister for Social Protection the reason a person (details supplied) in County dublin who finished an apprenticeship and went straight into college whilst in part-time employment with HMV, is not entitled to any form of welfare benefit since his employment ceased. [17162/13]

According to the Department’s records there is no recent application from the person concerned for a jobseekers payment. It is open to the person concerned to make an application for such a payment at his local social welfare office.
