To ask the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the total number of Udarás na Gaeltachta business units that have broadband; the number with broadband access with download speeds less than 5 Mbps; between 5 and 10 Mbps; between 10 to 30 Mbps; between 30 to 70 Mbps; between 70 to 100 Mbps; and more than 100 Mbps. I understand that all tenants in business units owned by Údarás na Gaeltachta make their own arrangements with various broadband suppliers, depending on the options available in the areas in question.

I am advised also that virtually all Údarás na Gaeltachta properties could potentially have access to very fast broadband speeds, as detailed in the Deputy’s Question, via point to point radio links. However, as the Deputy will appreciate, this is a matter for the individual companies to decide.
