A new application for rent supplement was received by my Department from the person concerned on 14th February 2013. It is being examined and assessed at present and a decision will issue shortly. It should be noted that on 21st February he was paid rent supplement for the period until 28th February 2013, after he had moved house. This payment of €211.30 can be used to offset his first rent payment at his new accommodation .
