The VHI has informed me that the figures requested by the Deputy in respect of 2012 are not available as VHI accounts for that year have not yet been finalised. They expect to do so by the end of March. In respect of 2011, the total salaries paid to VHI Healthcare staff was €47 million. While the salary of the CEO is published as part of the Annual Report & Accounts, salaries of other executives are not published.

As the VHI is a commercial body operating in a competitive market, it does not publish information of a commercially sensitive nature.
