To ask the Minister for Social Protection the reason jobseeker's allowance was withdrawn without prior notification in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Longford; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7676/13]

The person concerned was in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance up to 1st January, 2013 at the weekly rate of €203.00. His entitlement was reviewed and he was requested by the Social Welfare Inspector to furnish documentation in support of his continuing entitlement. As he failed to furnish documentation, his payment was suspended.

He will need to provide the outstanding information in order to have his payment re-instated.
