To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government the progress made to date in respect of the publication of the Climate Change Bill with particular reference to future environmental and economic sustainability and the meeting of emission reduction targets of 80% by 2050; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Question No. 132 of 5 February 2013.
In releasing the outline Heads of the Bill shortly, I will address both the importance of environmental and economic sustainability, and the critical issue of meeting greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.
