Student Universal Support Ireland has confirmed that the applicant referred to by the Deputy appealed the decision on his grant application and that a letter on the appeal issued on 16th January, 2013.

Officials in my Department have been informed by Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) that the documentation supplied by the student in question in relation to independent residency is not adequate.

Officials in my Department have confirmed with Student Universal Support Ireland, that on 31st January 2013, a request for further documentation was issued to the student referred to by the Deputy. When the requested documentation is returned the student will be notified directly of the outcome.
