To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government if he will outline in tabular form the total cost of all conferences and seminars attended by his Department in 2012; the purpose of each conference/seminar; the location; the number of delegates that attended from his Department/agencies or otherwise that were represented; the total cost of each conference/seminar; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department’s expenditure on conferences and seminars is outlined in the tables below for 2012. The Department does not routinely collect information on the locations of conferences and seminars.
The day to day operations of the agencies under the aegis of my Department are a matter for the individual agencies concerned. Accordingly, the information sought in relation to agencies is not available in my Department.
