The person concerned applied for the State pension (non-contributory) on 27th August 2012. The claim was referred to the Social Welfare Inspector (SWI) for investigation. A letter issued to the customer on the 1st November 2012 advising that the claim was refused because of a failure to fully disclose means.
The customer then provided further information in early December and the claim was again referred to the SWI for further investigation. When that investigation is complete, the customer will be advised of the formal decision.
