524. To ask the Minister for Justice and Equality the total number of Gardaí who are currently stationed in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3019/13]

I am informed by the Garda Commissioner that the personnel strength of Donegal Division on 31 December 2012 (the latest date for which figures are readily available) was as set out in the table attached. There were also a total of 28 Reserve Gardaí and 29 civilians attached to the Donegal Garda Division on that date. Divisional resources are further augmented by a number of Garda National Units such as the Garda National Drugs Unit (GNDU), the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NBCI), the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) and other specialised units.
