If an applicant considers that the decision made on a student grant application is incorrect, he/she may appeal, in the first instance, to the grant awarding authority which made the decision.

Where such an appeal is turned down in writing by the grant awarding authority and the applicant remains of the view that the scheme was not interpreted correctly in his/her case, an appeal form outlining the position may be submitted by the applicant to the independent Student Grant Appeals Board.
