To ask the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation if Home and Community Care Ireland have been in touch with him concerning the issue of the status of live-in carer's under the National Minimum Wage Act 2000 and the Working Time Act 1997 and the policing of that legislation by the National Employment Rights Authority; and the action he proposes to take to resolve this issue. I can confirm that I have received representations from Home and Community Care Ireland and that officials from my Department have agreed to meet with their representatives to discuss the issue further.
