I am informed by the Registrar General that this case was referred from the Coroner for Donegal North East to the Coroner for Donegal North West on 4th September 2012 and a date has not yet been fixed for an inquest. Where a death has been referred to a Coroner, the death can only be registered on foot of a Coroner’s certificate. The death will be registered by the local registrar on receipt of a Coroner’s certificate as provided for under section 41 of the Civil Registration Act, 2004.
