To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 462 of 13 November 2012, the reason the specification on hardcore is being developed in conjunction with recommendation 21 of the Pyrite Panel which deals with general insurance issues, rather than recommendation 22. The reference to Recommendation 21 in reply to Question 462 is to Standard Recommendation (SR) 21 , Guidance on the use of I.S. EN 13242 – Aggregates for unbound and hydraulically bound materials for use in civil engineering work and road construction, not to recommendation 21 in the Pyrite Report.
