To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he will provide details of the number of semi-State and State agency executives and employees on an agency by agency basis that have salaries of more than €100,000 per year; if he will provide this information in tabular form, detailing any additional allowances, bonuses and the annual cost to the Exchequer of any pension packages to such employees, in terms of tax reliefs or other costs; if he will provide this information for the past three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter.; and if he will make a statement on the matter. | Pension Arrangement | The Ombudsman for Children Act 2002 makes provision for the establishment of superannuation arrangements for the Ombudsman. The exact details of these provisions are still subject to discussion between the Ombudsman, my Department and officials in the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform. |
The maximum pension contributions, in any one year, for which employees are entitled to tax relief, is related to age and is expressed as a percentage of gross income. The maximum gross income figure for relief purposes is €115,000. The maximum tax relief a person can receive as a percentage of earnings for pensions in Ireland is set out below.

I can confirm to the Deputy that there are no executives or employees in bodies under the aegis of my Department in receipt of pensions in excess of €90,000 per year.
