To ask the Minister for Social Protection further to an application for the carer's allowance by a person (details supplied), if she is satisfied that it is acceptable for the applicant to receive, 12 months later from the date of submission of this application, a request from her Department for further information in order to progress the application; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I confirm that this application was received to this department on the 22 November 2011. This application is with a deciding officer who has requested information from the person in question regarding their means. Once all the necessary information has been returned to this department, the deciding officer will proceed with the processing of this application and a decision will issue directly to the person in question.
