To ask the Minister for Education and Skills if he will provide an update on the development of a new school (details provided) in County Dublin ; if that school is part of the new build schedule; the date on which works will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [49331/12]

As the Deputy will be aware, a project for a new building for the school to which the Deputy refers is included in the five-year construction programme that I announced last March. It is my Department's intention that this project will proceed to construction in the period 2015-16. My Department has sought the assistance of, and is working closely with, the relevant Local Authority in relation to identifying and acquiring a suitable site for the proposed school concerned. Due to commercial sensitivities attaching to site acquisitions generally, I am not in a position to comment further at this time. The current status of all projects on the school building programme, including the school in question, may be viewed on my Department's website, www.education.ie.
