To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government the sectors of the public sector that are currently employed on a roster basis and if there are any plans to remove employees from the rostering system. [49073/12]

A roster system is in use in the local authority sector and in Met Éireann, a division of my Department. There are no plans at present to change those systems, which are necessary for business reasons.

There are no employees employed on a roster basis in the State agencies under the aegis of my Department.
