To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government the annual saving to the Exchequer if a pay cap of €100,000 was in place for the 226.65 City and County Managers, Assistant Managers and Directors of Service within local authorities in receipt of annual basic salaries in excess of €100,000. Information regarding potential cost savings which could arise if the salaries in question were reduced is not available in my Department.
