Capital Assistance Scheme Applications

To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government if he will provide details of projects submitted by local authority for consideration under his Departments capital assistance scheme and if he will outline the priority attached to the various submissions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In June 2012 my Department invited local authorities to submit a prioritised list of projects for funding under the Capital Assistance Scheme (CAS) over the period 2012 to 2014. Cork County Council submitted a list of fourteen projects for consideration by my Department. Details of the projects submitted are set out in the following table. CAS funding totalling €4,810,000 was approved in respect of the first three projects listed.
