My Department has no record of an application from the Group referred to by the Deputy. An official from my Department contacted a spokesperson for the Group who confirmed that an application had not been submitted yet.

This Group is at a preliminary stage of gathering support for their application, which as I understand from the details supplied with this question, was the purpose of their communication with the Deputy. They intend to submit an application for funding to my Department shortly.
