To ask the Minister for Health when he expects to appoint a Director of the National Suicide Prevention Office; the number of persons that have been interviewed for this post; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [45416/12]

The National Office for Suicide Prevention which was established by the HSE in 2005 is part of the internal organisation of that body and the appointment of a Director is a matter for the HSE. On that basis the question has been referred to the HSE for direct reply.
