To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government the number of households that have availed of the mortgage to rent scheme; the number of properties that have been considered by each participating bank; the number that have been approved by each bank; and if he will make a statement on the matter. More than sixty cases are currently being processed under the mortgage to rent scheme. One case has been fully concluded and a further 8 are expected to conclude shortly with purchase prices now agreed. My Department does not have access to lender data on the number of households which may be eligible for the scheme.
