To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the contracted cost incurred to date by the Office of Public Works in preparation for the Irish Presidency of the EU; the estimated total cost that will be incurred; the proportion that will accrue to domestic firms; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The contracted cost incurred to date by the Office of Public Works in preparation for the Irish Presidency of the EU is €1.66m (capital and current expenditure). The estimated total cost to be incurred is €9.8m.
All of the contracts to date have been awarded to domestic firms.
