To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government when funding for a replacement of the pipe network from Bunbeg, Derrybeg to Glassagh made by Donegal County Council under the Rosses regional public water supply scheme will be made available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As part of its Water Conservation Strategy, Donegal County Council is currently progressing a first phase of watermain rehabilitation contracts, which are being funded under my Department’s Water Services Investment Programme 2010 – 2013.

I understand that Donegal County Council proposes to include the rehabilitation of the pipe network from Bunbeg, Derrybeg to Glassagh as part of a second phase of watermain rehabilitation works. Proposals for this phase of works will be submitted to my Department by the Council on completion of the first phase of works.
