To ask the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No.1066 of 18 September 2012, if he will consider instigating a process whereby such information will be collected and collated by his Department on both a retrospective basis and into the future; if not, the reason for same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. While data on the number of refusals made under section 35 of the Planning and Development (Amendment) Act 2010 are not included in my Department’s range of published statistics, consideration will be given to this in the context of next year’s planning statistics collation process. I do not propose retrospectively to collate such data given the significant additional administrative burden this would place on local authorities at a time when their staffing and other resources are reduced.
