To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the reasons for charging airlines for use of airbridges at Cork Airport; the costs so charged per passenger; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43927/12]

I have no statutory function in relation to this issue which is a matter for Cork Airport Authority (CAA).

Airport charges at Cork Airport are set by the CAA.  Accordingly, I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the CAA for direct reply to the Deputy.   Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
