I last met with the Chairperson and the Chief Executive Officer of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) on 20th July 2012. would expect to have a further meeting before the end of the year. A range of important issues, which are of mutual concern, are discussed at these meetings. Outside of my formal meetings with HIQA, my officials are in regular contact with HIQA to deal with and progress the range of issues that arise.

I have not met with the National Cancer Registry recently, but officials of my Department have a regular and positive working relationship with the Director of the Registry and his staff. I would be happy to meet with the Registry should the occasion arise.
