To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the criteria on which the bus route between County Dublin and County Sligo has been altered; the reason Rooskey and Dromod have been dropped from the route; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that this change to the route will leave those without private transport in the area incapable of getting to work or college; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issue raised is an operational matter for Bus Éireann in conjunction with the National Transport Authority (NTA).  I have referred the Deputy's question to the company for direct reply.  Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
