To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide the number of former public servants recruited before the sixth of April 1995 who are currently receiving a public sector pension; if he will provide an age profile of those public servants; if he will provide, in a tabular form, the numbers of public sector pensioners in the following payment parameters; between €0 to €2,000; €2,001 to €3,000; €3,001 to €4,000; €4,001 to €5,000; €5,001 to €6,000; €6,001 to €7,000; €7,001 to €8,000; €8,001 to €9,000; €9,001 to €10,000; €10,001 to €11,000; €11,001 to €12,000; €12,001 to €13,000; €13,001 to €14,000; €14,001 to €15,000; €15,001 to €16,000; €16,001 to €17,000; €17,001 to €18,000; €18,001 to €19,000; €19,001 to €20,000; and more than €20,000. I propose to take Questions Nos. 205 and 215 together.
I as the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform have responsibility for civil service pensions and for pensions paid from the Central Fund. Statutory responsibility for other public service pension schemes is a matter in the first instance for the respective Ministers in other Departments, as appropriate. The data in the following table relate to former Civil Servants.
