To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of appointments that have been made to positions available on the boards of semi-State companies and statutory agencies following public advertisement; if he will provide details of the names of persons who have been appointed under this initiative and the agencies on which they now sit; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Following public advertisement, 32 persons who expressed an interest in serving on the State Boards under  the aegis of my Department have been appointed since March 2011. In addition, three people who expressed an interest in serving on the boards of the port companies as part of the statutory process required under the Harbour Acts have been appointed during the same time period. The list of names and the Boards they have been appointed to are set out in the table.
