To ask the Minister for Health in view of the shortage of speech and language therapists in the health service, if he will consider allowing graduate speech and language therapists conduct their mandatory supervised one year placement with the Health Service to allow graduates receive their qualification and make available more personnel in this area, and at a reduced cost to the State. I will examine the proposal and will correspond with the Deputy on the matter as soon as possible.
