Question 219: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the local authorities that negotiated the purchase price for social housing under Part 5 of the 2000 Planning and Development Act in advance of the houses being constructed; the local authorities who negotiated the purchase price on completion of the development; if those local authorities who pre negotiated a price paid above market value; the number of houses involved and the locations of same; if there are contractual obligations still outstanding in relation to pre-negotiated prices; if so, the number of units and the locations of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information requested is not available in my Department. Local authorities were centrally involved in the delivery of social and affordable housing within the legislative framework provided by Part V of the Planning and Development Acts and in line with the guidance of my Department.
