Question 768: To ask the Minister for Health if consideration is given to shortening the waiting time for patients awaiting public health care in cases where the patient is in considerable pain, for example someone who is awaiting an operation to have a wisdom tooth removed [34671/12]

If the patient's general practitioner considers that the patient's condition warrants an earlier appointment, he or she would be in the best position to take the matter up with the consultant and hospital involved.
