Question 155: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if the tender process for the installation of water meters has been drawn up; if it will be a single or multiple tender; if it is possible to ensure that tenders are awarded to Irish companies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is expected that the procurement for the water meter programme will commence later this year. The procurement process will be managed in accordance with European procurement legislation and it will not be possible to exclude non-Irish companies from the procurement process.
