Question 123: To ask the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation the average time lapse between receipt of invoices for goods and services and actual payment in his Department and in each agency and organisation within his remit; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32603/12]

Under the Government Decision of 2009 on Prompt Payments by Central Government, Departments and Agencies are required to report to my Department on the statistics relating to the number of payments made within 15 days, within 16 to 30 days and number made after 30 from receipt of invoices in the Departments. This information is published quarterly on my Department's website and also on the websites of the Agencies.
The latest statistics available for my Department is for the period April to June 2012 and shows that my Department processed 1,507 payments to suppliers for goods and services. 82% of these payments were made within 15 days of receipt in the Department. A further 15% of payments were made in the period 15 – 30 days of receipt. The latest statistics available for the Agencies of my Department are for the period January to March 2012 and are as follows:
