Question 686: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if he will provide details of the total expenditure by his Department on providing services through the Irish language in each of the past five years. [31636/12]

My Department provides services through both Irish and English. It does not maintain separate definitive costings on providing services through Irish, particularly in relation to the cost of internal staff time. The table below is in respect of the translation and advertising costs associated with the provision of services through Irish.
