The full proceeds of motor tax are paid into the Local Government Fund. The net motor tax receipts paid into the Fund for 2011 are €1,011,640,768. The total amount of motor tax received into the Fund to date in 2012 (31 May 2012) is €462,735,431. This may not represent the final net figure, as reconciliation processes are ongoing.
