Question 264: To ask the Minister for Social Protection further to Parliamentary Question No. 72 of 14 June 2012, when it is expected to deal with the appeal arising from the refusal of their application for disability allowance, in view of the fact that it was submitted some time ago; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Further to my response to Parliamentary Question Ref. No. 28797/12 on 14th June 2012, I am advised by the Social Welfare Appeals Office that there is no update to the information given previously.

The Social Welfare Appeals Office functions independently of the Minister for Social Protection and of the Department and is responsible for determining appeals against decisions on social welfare entitlements.
