Question 620: To ask the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the amount the State has paid out in redundancy to the public sector under the Croke Park Agreement during its implementation; if he will clarify whether or not this period coincides with the recent announcement regarding savings; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has not paid out any redundancy payments to staff under the Croke Park Agreement. There has been no voluntary redundancy scheme available for staff in my Department.

Any savings recently announced have been made in accordance with our commitments in the Croke Park Agreement.

I have asked the State agencies under the aegis of my Department to provide the Deputy with the information requested. If you do not receive a reply from the agencies within ten working days, please advise my private office.
