Question 283: To ask the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation his views on the legal obligations regarding certification for scales used for the purposes of purchasing livestock in meat slaughtering plants; the person responsible for the legal certification of the scales and the person who provides this service; the requirements in respect of the frequency which these scales must be certified; if he will outline in tabular form, specifying the name of each meat plant, the most recent certification date and the current status in respect of the scales being used in each plant.
