Question 193: To ask the Minister for Finance the total number of companies who have claimed relief under the three year corporate tax exemption, which provides relief from corporation tax on the trading income and certain gains of new start up companies in the first three years of trading; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the relevant information available so far on the relief in question is for the year 2010 as derived from corporation tax returns filed in respect of that year. The number of companies claiming the relief for 2010 was 855.
